Pulse

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

Short version: Pulse works locally on your Mac. The current version does not require an account, does not collect personal data, and does not send your system telemetry to external servers.

Data Collection

Pulse does not collect personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, contact data, photo libraries, payment information, or precise location data.

How Pulse Works

Pulse reads local macOS system telemetry to render the dashboard, including CPU activity, load average, memory usage, swap usage, disk throughput, paging activity, network throughput, and the system thermal state. This information is processed locally on your device.

Transmission of Data

The current version of Pulse does not transmit the telemetry it reads to Thomas Stange, to advertisers, or to third-party analytics providers.

Accounts and Sign-In

Pulse does not require account creation or sign-in to use its core functionality.

Permissions

The current version of Pulse does not request access to sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, or location.

Third-Party Services

The current version of Pulse does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.

Future Changes

If a future version adds analytics, cloud synchronization, account systems, notifications that require additional personal data, or external APIs, this privacy policy will be updated before those changes are released.
