MuteCast

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 25, 2026

MuteCast is designed as a local, privacy-first podcast player. The current version does not require an account, does not include analytics, and does not sell personal data.

Data Collection

The current version of MuteCast does not collect personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, payment information, or precise location data.

Podcast Audio and Transcription

MuteCast may download and analyze podcast episodes that you subscribe to, play, or explicitly download inside the app. Transcription and segment detection are designed to run locally on your device for audio handled by MuteCast. MuteCast does not process audio from other apps.

Network Use

MuteCast connects to podcast RSS feeds, podcast audio hosts, and Apple services required by the operating system. Cellular streaming, downloads, and background refresh are configurable and are off by default for mobile data use unless enabled in the app.

Third-Party Services

The current version of MuteCast does not include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

Future Changes

If a future version adds CloudKit sync, analytics, account systems, or external APIs that change data handling, this policy will be updated before those changes are released.
